Natalie Vokes, MD, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, discusses the history and development of PD-(L)1 and VEGF combinations, as well as bispecifics, in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Previous trials combining PD-1 inhibitors with VEGF inhibitors have shown mixed results, which often showed improvement in progression-free survival but not overall survival, and newer bispecifics may offer a more promising approach. This interview took place at International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) 2026 Targeted Therapies of Lung Cancer Meeting (TTLC) in Huntington Beach, CA.
